About Our Team
Terry M Eccles, MD, FAAP, FACP
Dr. Eccles received her MD from the University of Nebraska School of Medicine in 1996 and completed her pediatric residency training at the combined UNMC/Creighton University program in 1999. She moved to CT in the fall of 1999 and has been serving Stafford and the surrounding communities ever since. She is a proud mother of 2 sons. Dr. Eccles loves to play, both in and out of the office, and welcomes you warmly to our treehouse.
Emily J Woods, MSN, FNP-BC
Emily earned her BSN from Messiah College in 2009 and MSN as a family nurse practitioner from UCONN in 2014. A native of Connecticut, she is honored to be part of the Stafford community. While a homebody at heart, she loves to travel and experience cultures around the world. Nothing, however, is better than spending time with her family, especially her 3 nephews and 2 nieces!
Macy Pellegrino, MA
A young and relatively recent graduate of the practice herself, Macy brings a fresh look and positive attitude to the office every day. She may display different appearances with her changing glasses, but her tender heart for the needs of our families never changes.
Sarah Rivera, RN
In the years Sarah has been a part of our team, she has played many roles. Most recently, she completed her nursing degree, adding yet another level of skill to her repertoire. She cares about our patients as if they were her own children and works hard to promote that attitude in our office. Her artistic talents provide balance to her hard working determination, whether in her photography, her baking, or her hand made crafts.
With more than 10 years of experience in our office, Nancy is very knowledgeable about the needs of our families and how to accomplish them. She is dedicated to getting things right the first time for whoever she talks to, but never before spending some time socializing about their kids and hers first. Her 2 boys are the light of her life, and she arranges her office schedule to meet their needs before hers.
Melissa Augusto, RN
Another working mom, Melissa was able to balance caring for 3 kids and her husband while still completing her nursing degree. She honors the memory of her mother in her sensitivity with the patients she cares for. Always looking to expand herself and do more, she recently completed a course to become a lactation consultant so that she can help our newest family members.
Madelyn "Maddie" Hopko, LPN
Raising 2 busy boys and completing her nursing degree while working as a medical assistant, Maddie is aware of the health care needs of families from birth through old age. She may look like she's one of our patients because of her youthful appearance, but she has wisdom beyond her years.
Kelly CarlsonHaving just had her second child, Kelly is familiar with the concerns and needs of our parents. She has lots of experience in management and organization and helps us serve your needs better through her role in office administration. She is spear-heading our Quality Improvement team, and working with Dr. Eccles and Emily for future planning.
Brittany Dehm, MA
One of Stafford's newest residents, Brittany is also new to our team. Her MA and phlebotomy training has been augmented by years of work experience, and she has an excitement and enthusiasm that is contagious. She works diligently and quietly, letting the quality of the care she provides speak for her.
While she is our newest team member, Kristin is not new to healthcare or to the reception desk. She is a welcoming ray of sunshine, attempting to meld the needs and desires of our families within the constraints of our schedule and our staffing. She is a caring and involved mother who is teaching her daughter the fun of shopping and saving money.
Born in June 2017, he is a brindle Italian mastiff who enjoys a nice burst of play with his friend Sherman followed by a good long nap. His mom (Brittany) brings him in at least 3 days a week to visit with our families and bring all of us some joy.
Born in July 2017, he is a blue great dane who enjoys meeting new people, playing keep away with his friend Oakley and sleeping on the sofa, as long as he isn't too far away from his mom (Dr. Eccles). He comes to the office every day that Dr. Eccles is here.
